"Dear You," the heartwarming drama from Jinant Film & TV, is owning the Chinese box office! For its fourth weekend, May 22-24, it pulled in a massive $45.5 million (RMB309.4 million). This low-budget flick, directed by Lan Hongchun and starring Li Sitong and Wang Yantong, is proving to be unstoppable!
Variety reports that while "The Mandalorian and Grogu" made its big debut, it barely made a dent against this indie powerhouse. Looks like Baby Yoda couldn't charm his way to the top this time! "Dear You" continues to reign supreme, proving that a good story beats big-budget spectacle any day.
